Sarkar day 2, Box Office: After breaking Baahubali's record, Vijay's film inches towards Rs 100 crore

After breaking the opening day record of Baahubali, Vijay starrer Sarkar continues to remain strong on the Box Office. Although on its' second day of release the footfall for the highly anticipated flick dropped owing to the Diwali festivities. However, it hasn't much impacted the numbers of the film. AR Murgados' directorial, has become the biggest opening Tamil film in Chennai, beating Rajnikant's Kaala. On its day one, the movie collected a thunderous amount of 30 crores from Tamil Nadu including 2.37 crores from Chennai itself. The next day the numbers dropped heavily as the movie collected, 14.50 crores at the TN box office.

Consequently, in its two days run at the screens, the movie has managed to collect 44.50 crores gross.

Internationally, the movie is doing well. And in the international market the movie has collected 80 crores worldwide in just 2 days. Now the movie is inching towards the 100 crore mark. Apart from Vijay, the movie also stars Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu and Radha Ravi.

Sarkar has got mixed reviews from all across the critics. BollywoodLife gave it 3 stars out of 5. A part of the review stated, "Sarkar makes you walk out of the cinema hall thinking about how you can bring about change and director A.R.Murugadoss sends out a loud message about how change can begin with just one person. Sarkar, as is, is a powerful plot and Vijay effortlessly carries it till the end."

Vijay is being lauded for his performance in the movie, "It's all Vijay in Sarkar and unfortunately in this process, there are quite a few dull moments in the narrative too."

Soon with the release of Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Thugs of Hindustan will give Sarkar a tough competition on the box office, as it releases today. Let's wait and watch which movie becomes a roadblock for the other.
